Drumroll please! The Song Room’s Drumathon Giving Day is coming up on Thursday, 13 November – a time to make some noise for arts and music education!
The event raises funds to bring The Song Room’s music and arts programs to more primary school students across Australia, including children who might not otherwise have access, so every child can benefit from the transformative power of a music and arts education.
With one in four primary schools in Australia lacking access to a qualified music teacher — impacting more than 1.7 million children — The Song Room works to level the learning playing field for Australia’s most vulnerable students.
Partnering with schools and communities across metropolitan, regional, and remote areas, the for-purpose organisation delivers impactful, curriculum-aligned, and fun music and arts programs that help students thrive. Independent research confirms that long-term access to music and arts education can address some of the biggest challenges facing children today – from educational equity to wellbeing and school engagement.

Alberts, through The Tony Foundation, is pledging $50,000 as part of our multi-year support for The Song Room, whose crucial work aligns with our Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of young Australians through music.
Whether you host a Drumathon, join a team, or simply spread the word, every action supports more children to experience the benefits of improved wellbeing, learning, and community connection. Visit charidy.com/songroom to get involved.
Together, we’re raising funds so more kids can experience the joy and lifelong benefits of music education.
