This week, the Impact Investment Summit Asia Pacific returns to Sydney on 25 and 26 March, bringing together investors, advisors and leaders to explore how capital can be scaled for positive social and environmental impact – and Alberts will be part of the conversation.

Kirsty Albert, Executive Director – Legal, Governance and People, will join a panel on day one of the Summit at the ICC on Gadigal land, contributing to a timely discussion on the role of gender diversity in investment decision-making.

Titled Beyond Intent: Turning Gender Evidence into Investment Action, the panel will explore why, despite widespread acceptance of the business case for gender diversity, progress in practice continues to lag and what action can be taken. Following directly from a keynote by Dr Ruth Shaber, author of The XX Edge, the discussion will examine what needs to shift within Australia’s investment system to translate evidence into action – particularly as women take on an increasing role in stewarding capital amid a historic intergenerational wealth transfer.

Kirsty will be joined by Seri Renkin OAM (Moderator, co-founder The DEA Network), Andrew Thomas (Head of Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation, REST), and Sian Fenner (Head of Business and Industry Economics, Westpac), bringing together institutional, macroeconomic and investor perspectives to examine the levers that accelerate change and the practical steps investors and advisors can take now – not in five or ten years, but today.

Recognised as the leading event for impact investors in the Asia-Pacific, the Impact Investment Summit convenes institutional investors, family offices, foundations, advisors, and government to drive capital towards positive social and environmental outcomes. Alberts is proud to support the Summit as a sponsor. You can find the full program here and purchase tickets here.
